Roasted chickpeas

banana coconut and date ball healthy recipe

Ingredients

1 can of chickpeas (400g)
2 tbs olive or sesame oil
2 cloves of garlic, finely diced
1 tbs paprika
1 tbs cumin
Salt & pepper to taste



Method

  1. Preheat oven at 200 degrees Celsius
  2. Drain & rinse chickpeas
  3. Place chickpeas in a bowl
  4. Add all remaining ingredients and give it a good stir to coat
  5. Line baking tray with aluminum foil or baking paper
  6. Bake for 30-40 min or until crispy. Give it a stir occasionally

Other Ideas

You can also try adding some of your favourite spices to this recipe such as tumeric for colour, chilli for a bit more of a flavour hit! 

These chickpeas can be added to salads and pesto pasta for added texture and protein, or simply enjoy them as a tasty snack
